Accelerating innovative solutions for impact and development in Africa

We develop tailored programmes to nurture and accelerate new innovative ideas for sustainable development.

We leverage our community of social innovators in the UK and across Africa to generate new ideas and collaborate to address challenges in key areas including women's empowerment, youth unemployment, education and agriculture.

#HerFutureAfrica is a programme supporting young African female entrepreneurs to launch high-impact businesses that use technology to improve the lives of women & girls.

We do this by providing them with entrepreneurship training, mentorship and access to our global network.

We run the first edition in Ghana with funding from the Common Ground Initiative Fund co-funded by Comic Relief & DFID . 32 women entrepreneurs, selected from over 470 applicants attended and were connected with mentors from 10 countries.

10 finalists were awarded seed funding, office space as well as dedicated tech and business support from iSpace, a leading startup incubator in Ghana to support them in launching their businesses.

    Client: Oxfam

Delivered a presentation about social innovation in Africa to Oxfam's global senior leadership team. Our goal was to generate a discussion and new thinking around leveraging technology to create social impact at scale in Africa as well as providing case-studies on successful strategies that have been implemented.

"The feedback that I had from so many of my colleagues was about how they were challenged, inspired and invigorated by the session and your inputs. I kept on having colleagues come to me at different times afterwards who were struck by the presentations and group work. It really set the tone and created a joint sense of urgency around collaboration, innovation and scale. "
